Planning and Sorting system

The system behind the planning and sorting of parcels moving in and out of Sweden’s postal service, where a terminal handles enormous volumes and the cost of a bad plan is measured in trucks and hours. Getting the flow right on screen meant parcels reaching the right place at the right time out in the physical world.

Frontend developer responsible for making an operationally dense system genuinely usable by the people running the terminals. I ran workshops with those end users on how the interface should look and behave, which is the only reliable way to design for work you have never done yourself. Java EE underneath, built test-driven and domain-driven.
